manual (69 kB)
What do you look for in a power amplifier?
Bet it's the sound. Hypex UcD amplifier
modules are designed from the ground up
for true fidelity. Available in 180W, 400W
and 700W variants, they represent a new
generation of switching power converters
truly performing as amplifiers. Features
Flat, fully load-independent
frequency response
Low output impedance
Very low, frequency-independent THD
Very low noise
Consistent top performer in listening
trials including class A and SET amplifiers
Runs on unregulated +/- rails
Pop-free start and stop control
Differential audio input
Overcurrent and overvoltage Applications
Monitor loudspeakers for recording and
mastering studios
Audiophile power amplifiers for professional
and consumer use
Public Address systems
Home theatre systems
Active loudspeakers
Technology
The UcD circuit is based
on phase-shift controlled self-oscillation,
with only a single voltage feedback control
loop taking off at the loudspeaker terminals.
The control function is constructed fully
out of passive components, with only the
comparator standing in for gain.

Hypex DS20 ClassD sub
amplifier 175W RMS
The DS2.0 is the second in a new range
of Class D amplifier modules. The state-of-the-art
UcD design ensures a very low output impedance
resulting in an even better control of your
subwoofer.
The DS2.0 has stereo inputs (both high level
and line level). The subwoofer crossover
can be defeated in case this filtering is
present in the pre-amp.
It is advisable to place the amplifier
in an airtight compartment.

UcD HG power supply
600W RMS
Download
full datasheet (99 kB) Download
mechanical drawing (33 kB)
The UcD-supply
HG converts the AC voltage into suitable
DC-voltage for powering the UcD
amplifiers.
The typical AC input voltage depends on
the DC voltage requirements of the connected
amplifier and must come from a double wound
class-2 approved isolation transformer for
safety reasons. This transformer must be
primary fused. In case of high inrush current
a current limiter PCB is recommended.
It could be used for powering
two UcD180 or UcD400 modules depending on
type of tramsformer conected to it. Ideal
for UcD modules with AD8620 input buffer.
Measures:
145x75x57 mm.

The UcD-supply ST converts the AC voltage
into suitable DC-voltage for powering the
UcD
amplifiers.
A LED may be connected as POWER-ON
indicator. The UcD-supply has two separate
DC-protection devices thus allowing two
amplifiers to be connected.
The amplifier can be controlled switched
on/off by the UcD-supply; completely
popfree. Two fuses are mounted to protect
in case of over current in the main power
circuit.

datasheet (271 kB)
Inrush current is limited by means of a
triac switching at AC mains zero crossing
via heavy-duty resistors prior to relay
switching. With an optional bicolour LED
the status On or Standby can be displayed.
The main advantage is that the fuse rating
can be greatly reduced to nominal current
and does not necessarily need to be a slow-blow'
type.
Features
Bi-colour LED display
(not included)
Zero crossing switching
Operates at 230/115Vac (selectable)
Can be controlled with either low voltage/current
pushbutton or switch (not included) Applications
Any audio application powered by big transformers
